About US

Greetings! I am Marianne Holtz, along with my husband Kent and our 2 sons, we make Landon J Farms. In addition to the labs, we have a couple horses, a mini-donkey with an attitude and a "mousing" cat. We are in rural central Missouri near Osage Beach/Lake of the Ozarks. We enjoy the outdoors any chance we get, we are thankful and grateful for our tiny farming community. We live in an old 1930's farmhouse in the middle of nowhere off on gravel roads and thoroughly love it that way. There are plenty of pastures, creeks, ponds, barns and shenanigans to keep us all busy, including those silly dogs! 

Kent has a background filled with the "lab life", as his parents, Bob and Linda, bred Labrador retrievers, showed in the show ring and also judged shows. It was his dad, Bob, who encouraged me to rebirth his and Linda's passion. We started looking into getting our labs for this purpose in 2018 and in 2019 we were able to put our plan in action. I have too many people to thank for helping me in this venture, my husband is a pillar of our breeding program and brings so much knowledge to the table. Sheila Rush has been so helpful in the early steps, as she is a seasoned pro and cleans house in the show ring with her Saint Bernards and Newfies. I am forever grateful to Heather Gibbs, my mentor breeder, who has become one of my closest friends, she has been an active breeder for around 20 years and has always been an amazing support. My vet Dr. Kathy at Lake Pet Hospital and her team of vets and staff are always there for me, and a fun fact is Dr. Kathy was Papa Brandt's onsite vet for his Labrador program, full circle. 

I breed AKC Labrador Retrievers, I am a member of the Missouri Pet Breeders Association, a member of the Guild of Labrador Improvement Breeders Association and this crazy lab life is my passion. I breed with excellence and to better the breed, I do not take this lightly, this is my heart and soul.

 I also have a degree in Psychology from University of Central Missouri and have held my Realtor's license since 2014. Anything to do with the outdoors is my favorite: fishing, hunting, kayaking, hiking. So this suits me just perfect because our labs will absolutely be down for all of that. Our 2 sons help out as they can and love to play with the dogs, they are now 12 and 15 and amaze me everyday. My relationships with my clients run deep and I claim to have the best clients one could ask for, getting progress pictures is always such a joy.
